Minor Atom, 2015-2016 (Chatham-Kent Cyclones AAA Hockey Association)

The weekend of November 6th had our Cyclones participating in the Shanahan tournament in Toronto. Leaving 0-4 was not indicative of the effort and compete our Cyclones displayed every game...the record could just have easily read 3-1. The team continues game in and game out to show improvement, knocking and knocking on the proverbial win door and sooner or later they're going to stop knocking and just plain old crash on through it.

Our Cyclones took on a familiar foe on Halloween as they travelled to Lambton to take on the Sting. Facing 3 different 1 goal deficits a late tally rewarded our Cyclones' complete effort with a road point.

The '06 Cyclones spent the weekend on the road in Waterloo and Cambridge coming up just short Saturday in Waterloo and dropping a tough game in Cambridge on Sunday.  SATURDAY VS WATERLOO WOLVES After a lengthy delay to start the game, Jeffery MacKinnon got the Cyclones offense going early giving the Cyclones a 2-1 lead they would hold until a 3rd period Wolves rally left them just short of a victory.

Our Minor Atom Cyclones travelled to Detroit this past weekend to participate in their first tournament action of the season. Coming off an extended break in game action our Cyclones bookended a pair of wins to skate home from the Motor City with a 2-2 record. GAME #1 -- OFFENSE BREAKS OUT FOR 6-1 VICTORY OVER SOUTHERN TIER ADMIRALS Coming off of a 13 day game action break our Cyclones were slow to find their legs as the teams skated to a 0-0 tie after 1.  

Our Minor Atoms took their act to the road for the first time this season before wrapping up a busy week at home this past Saturday. Our Cyclones failed to add to their 'W' column but there were plenty of lessons to be learned that should pay dividends as the season moves along.
