Cyclones go 1-1-1 on Weekend
The Major Bantam Cyclones managed to pick up a win and a tie in a 3-game weekend.

Friday night the Bantam Cyclones traveled to Windsor to take on the red hot Windsor Jr Spitfires.Blair Derynck kept his streak going with yet another goal (unassisted) early in the first to put the boys up 1-0. Windsor would reply with 2 of their own before the end of the 1st. Two and a half minutes into the second Ross Krieger would tie things up with help from Brady Pataki and Nick Delyzer. Brayden Pegg would poke one in 6 minutes later to restore the Cyclones lead. Kyle Dawson and David Kim drew the assists. The boys took a 3-2 lead to the dressing room. Windsor came out flying in the 3rd and scored 2 unanswered goals in the third. They later added an empty netter to skate away with a 5-3 win. Joseph Raaymakers had the goaltending duties.
On Saturday and Sunday Nolan Hakr and Joe Raaymakers would turn in strong performances to give the boys a chance to skate away with some points.
On Saturday the Cyclones traveled to Sarnia to take on the Lambton Jr Sting. In a penalty filled game Lambton would open the scoring at 8:15 of the first. Brendan Harrogate batted one out of the air to tie it up 3 minutes later with help from Nick Delyzer and Kyle Fife. Ross Krieger got one 30 seconds into the second period from Nick Delyzer and Brady Pataki. Lambton replied midway through the second to tie it up. To this point all goals were scored on the power play. Brady Pataki restored the lead with help from Krieger later in the second. Midway through the third Lambton would tie it up again on yet another power play goal. With 3 minutes to go Krieger netted the winner with assists going to Fife and Delyzer. The excitement wasn't over as the Cyclones would draw a questionable 4 minute minor with just under 2 minutes remaining. Despite Lambton's best effort Nolan Hakr stood tall to preserve the win.
Saturday would see the boys return to the friendly confines of Memorial Arena to take on the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs for their 3rd game in 3 days. Elgin would score the only goal in the first. Kyle Dawson tied it up early in the second with assists going to Nick Delyzer and Matthew Jakubowski. Brady Pataki would give the Cyclones the lead on a nice little dangle with Krieger assisting. Elgin tied it up 4 minutes into the 3rd to close out the scoring. Despite a strong performance in net from Joseph Raaymakers the boys just couldn't generate enough offense to pull this one out. Good effort boys.
