Cyclones Fall Short In Rematch
The Bantam Cyclones were eliminated from the Alliance Playoffs this past week as they fell short in their rematch against the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs.

The boys traveled to Komoka on Saturday February 23 for the first game of a 6 point series against the Chiefs. It turned out to be a case of "Last goal wins" as the Chiefs came out on top 6-5. Nick Delyzer got a hat trick with Ross Krieger assisting on all 3 goals, Bradley Maxim picking up 2 helpers and Matthew Jakubowski 1. Brayden Pegg and Brady Pataki also scored with assists going to Ben Nicholls, Phil Clarke and Blair Derynck. Nolan Hakr took the loss in net.
On Sunday Game 2 was a different story until the lights went out. The game was suspended with 12:33 to play due to a power outage. The Cyclones were leading a tight game 2-0 on goals from Ross Krieger and Brendan Harrogate when the game was suspended. Assists went to Bradley Maxim, Patrick Wright, Brady Pataki and Blair Derynck. When the game resumed on Wednesday night the Chiefs mounted a comeback and took the game 3-2 scoring 2 goals in the third and the winner with 7 seconds left in OT. Joseph Raaymakers took the loss in net.
Game 3 was played immediately following the conclusion of game 2 and the Chiefs carried their momentum from the comeback into the game and finished off the Cyclones 3-1. Philip Clarke was the lone goal scorer for the boys with Bradley Maxim and Kyle Dawson picking up the helpers. Nolan Hakr was in net.
