Cyclone Challenge Cup
Here is a look back at the first game of the Cyclone Challenge Cup. What a start!

So what a start to the Cyclone Cup! Boys were firing on all cylinders today. They were flying, blocking shots, moving the puck and competing hard! Great battles today and fun to watch. It started off in game 1. Team Black came out buzzing. Dancin Rance Soney, Jaxon "Speedy Gonzalez" Riediger and the Tazmainian Devil Paxton Mather were able to get their team on the board. From there they never looked back. Rowen, channelling his inner Carey Price shut the door over and over again, turning aside multiple grade A scoring chances from Team White and earned the shutout.
Game 2 was back and forth. Downtown Ryder Brown found his groove and made save after save after save, including throwing his head at the puck to make sure he kept his team in it as they found their legs. Finally Team White was able to sneak one in as it was Big Willy Stylez on the door step smacking home a rebound.
Game 3 was much of the same. Both goalies making the game look easy pushing pucks aside time and time again including multiple breakaways. Team White got the power play cooking and it was a rip off the faceoff from Tiago Boom Boom Rolo that was difference maker in another 1-0 game.
Game 4 saw the level of intensity picked up another notch. Both teams had multiple opportunities to open up the game only to be turned aside by great goaltending. Eventually Big Willy Stylez found himself tapping his stick at the backdoor and it was the Big Pappa Travis Decook sending a little sauce through the slot to Willy who made no mistake. Team Black wasn't about to give up though. Dancin Rance Soney found himself with the puck in the neutral zone made his way to the net and buried his own rebound. As time ticked away it looked like game 4 was going to end up in a tie. UNTIL Big Pappa Decook scooped up the puck in the neutral zone, took one step over the blue line and let go a BOMB that found the top corner where they keep the peanut butter. Shades of Stevie Yzerman game 7 against the St Louis Blues. Great day. Pretty sure the boys had a blast.
Game 1 in the books. Look for Team Black to try to even this series later in the week. The cup will be in the building!
