Major Atom AAA Alliance Playoff Finals have begun
The Cyclones opened the Playoff Finals today with Cambridge at Memorial arena. Down 1-0 in the second period, Ryan Gagner delivered on a rebound from a point blast by Webster, assisted by Stonehouse.
Tre Altiman was steady in goal and gave the Cyclones the chance to take over this game. Early in the third, they did on a great individual effort and bounce by Cameron Graham. In the final minutes, on the penalty kill and faceoff in the Cyclones zone, Cambridge pulled their goalie to make it a 6 on 4. The draw came to Stonehouse who went for the icing and landed a 3-1 lead. Some solid defense on the penalty kill helped keep the game at a 2 goal advantage and Game 2 will be back in Cambridge on Sunday.
