Their only loss, since October, came against the formidable North Bay Trappers team, a testament to the high level of competition at the tournament.
The final day was a true test of endurance and grit. Our young athletes played three back-to-back games, each more intense than the last. In the quarterfinals, they faced the talented Soo Greyhounds team and emerged victorious with a thrilling 3-2 win in overtime. The momentum continued in the semifinals where they secured another close 3-2 victory against the Sudbury Wolves.
The highlight of the tournament was undoubtedly the final match, a much-anticipated rematch against the North Bay Trappers. In a nail-biting game that kept everyone on the edge of their seats, our Cyclones displayed incredible resilience and skill, clinching the title with a 4-3 win.
