Great Job in Rochester!
Submitted By TimVerbeek on Tue 10 02, 18
The coaching staff would like to take an opportunity to express how proud we are of the boys effort this past weekend in Rochester!

After going a perfect 4-0 during the round robin in which we lead all teams in scoring (amassing 30 goals in 4 games), we set ourselves up to have a great shot at winning the entire tournament.

After advancing to the final game with a 10-3 win over Rochester, the boys fell just short of our Championship goal with a tough 5-1 loss at the hands of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers.

The boys battled through some adversity in the form of sickness and injury, and even though we didn't get the final result we ultimately wanted, they all made tremendous strides in both their individual and team play, and for a coach, that is a tremendous victory!  We saw several "hat tricks" get scored, some incredible passing plays, tremendous puck pursuit and back checking, and even a couple "highlight real" goals scored by the boys.  To say that it was fun to watch is an understatement!

There is always a learning lesson in every victory and defeat, and the experience that the boys got from this past weekend will not only make them become better players, but people as well!

Congratulations on a great job boys!
