Introducing U15 Head Coach Kyle Hope
2026-27 Chatham-Kent AAA Cyclones U15 Head Coach Kyle Hope is returning for another season at the helm.

Head Coach Kyle Hope returns for his fourth season behind the bench and his sixth year working with this age group. Over that time, he has invested deeply in the development of this group and built a program centered on accountability, growth, and a commitment to excellence.

Kyle’s approach to coaching is rooted in his lifelong passion for the game. As a former high-level player, he understands what it takes to succeed—not only in skill development, but also in mindset, preparation, and character. His coaching philosophy emphasizes continuous improvement, attention to detail, and creating a competitive environment where players are challenged daily while feeling supported and valued.

Our program operates under a professional standard designed to prepare athletes for the next level of hockey. Practices are purposeful, development plans are individualized, and expectations are clear. At the same time, we place a strong emphasis on culture, fostering leadership, teamwork, and accountability both on and off the ice. We are committed to developing well-rounded young players who carry strong habits into hockey, school, and life.

Kyle is known for his strong communication, honesty, and ability to connect with players. Having served as a leader during his playing career, leadership has always been one of his defining traits. He works to instill those same qualities in his athletes—encouraging them to take ownership of their development and to elevate those around them.

Kyle’s playing résumé reflects the standard he now brings to the program. He was selected 45th overall in the 2009 OHL Draft by the Oshawa Generals from the Chatham Kent Cyclones. He spent 2.5 seasons in Oshawa before finishing his OHL career with the Owen Sound Attack. Following his overage season, he signed with the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League and attended four NHL training camps, appearing in NHL preseason games.

He continued his career at the University of Windsor, playing five seasons and reaching the National Championship tournament while earning a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science. He later signed with the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL) before continuing his professional career overseas with the Manchester Storm (EIHL) and the Frederikshavn White Hawks in Denmark’s top professional league, the Metal Ligaen, where he won a Final 4 Championship.

Since retiring from professional hockey in 2021, Kyle has fully committed himself to developing the next generation of players while raising his family in Blenheim, Ontario, with his wife, Heather, and their children, Krue and Issy.

Kyle is supported by a dedicated and experienced staff. Assistant Coach Mike Anderson, Goalie Coach Eric Stewardson, and Trainer Jackie Pfaff return for their fourth season, providing continuity and a deep understanding of our program’s standards.

Joining the program as Defense Advisors are Blain Bacik and TJ Brodie. Both bring extensive high-level playing experience and will work with our defensive group in an advisory capacity throughout the season, offering mentorship and positional expertise.

Together, our staff and advisors remain committed to raising the standard, developing confident and capable athletes, and guiding our team through another competitive and rewarding season.
