2025-26 Chatham-Kent AAA Cyclones U11 Head Coach Danny Larocque will take the helm for his first season, after one year as an assitant coach with the U10 team.
Danny Larocque brings a profound passion for hockey and a wealth of experience to player development. With over 12 years of dedicated coaching, Danny has nurtured talent across all age brackets, from introducing the fundamentals to the youngest U4 players, to refining the skills of highly competitive U16 AAA athletes. His coaching philosophy centers on building well-rounded individuals, both on and off the ice, emphasizing not only technical proficiency but also crucial life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
Danny's own playing career provides a solid foundation for his coaching expertise. He competed at the demanding levels of Senior AAA and Junior hockey, gaining invaluable insights into high-performance training and game strategies. Furthermore, his remarkable 20-year tenure with Team Canada Roller Hockey, where he proudly served as team captain, showcases his exceptional leadership and ability to excel in international competition. This experience has instilled in him a deep understanding of team dynamics, strategic thinking, and the importance of mental fortitude.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes developing strong fundamentals, fostering a love for the game, and instilling essential life skills. Danny is committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where players can reach their full potential, with a strong focus on sportsmanship and fair play. Notably, Danny has experience at Skill Shots off-ice hockey training facility, where he trained OHL, NCAA, and Team USA U18 players.
