2025-26 Chatham-Kent AAA Cyclones U16 Head Coach Ryan Paxton is returning for his 2nd consecutive season at the helm.
Born and raised in Chatham, Ryan began his coaching career with the Kent Minor Hockey AA Midget program. He then moved up to the Junior C PJHL program for the next 10 years with stops in Dresden, Wallaceburg, and Blenheim. Last season Ryan came to the AAA level with the 2009 U16 team here in Chatham.
Ryan is looking forward to the opportunity to coach another year with the Cyclones. He is excited to get started with the new group after the completion of this 2024-2025 season.
Ryan had this to say :
“
I am very appreciative of the opportunity to lead this team into next season. Being around Junior hockey for so many years I want to prepare these young men for the next chapter in their hockey careers. They all have the dream of playing at a high level and I will push them to be the best they can be. I will handle this team like a Junior program to get them ready for the next step. This past season we preached Respect and Communication from day 1 of tryouts, and it was great to see these young men work hard and have fun again playing a game they love.”
