Cyclones Partner with Heroic Minds
The Chatham-Kent Cyclones are extremely excited to announce that we have partnered with Heroic Minds to offer additional mental health resources and support to all members of our organization.  Heroic Minds is an app based platform which is a tremendous mental health resource that can be accessed at any time.  It arms users with tools and resources, enhancing the current approach to behaviour change and highlighting the direct link between overall life skills and sport performance. The platform includes access to resources on psychoeducation, philosophy, psychology, leadership skills, communication skills, relationship skills and much more.

Heroic Minds was developed by OHL alumni Ben Fanelli. Ben overcame a traumatic brain injury before going on to become OHL and CHL Humanitarian of the Year in 2013. He played in over 200 OHL games for the Kitchener Rangers, and has a BA in Communications and Masters of Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Waterloo.

From our friends at Heroic Minds:

"Heroic Minds isn't just another mental health initiative; it's a proactive approach empowering individuals of all ages to invest in their mental well-being. The platform unites global behavioural health professionals, delivering insights in a format similar to other leading platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and Duolingo.

Heroic Minds makes expert insight more accessible, affordable, and enjoyable, ensuring everyone can prioritize their mental well-being.

Heroic Minds recognizes ones state of mind is determined by the
agility to navigate life's challenges.

Heroic Minds makes the habit of nurturing life skills, life values, and cognition
private and easy, which is crucial for a resilient future generation.

Heroic Minds is not only innovating in how people access the support they need, they are doing this while providing a more inspiring and actionable narrative around what it means to be mentally well."
