Game 2
Well, well, well. Wasn't that something. Day 2 of the Cyclone cup lived up to the hype.

Day 2 of the Cyclone Cup picked up right where we left it from last Sunday. Team Black came out again the more aggressive and and an hungry group. That being said Team White had some opportunities to take the lead early on. The scoring started with Crazy Legs Jake Corneil, tired at the end of the shift walking over the blueline and firing a twisted wrister from just above the top of the circles right over downtown Brown's right shoulder. Jaker comes back to the bench stating "I was just looking to make a change." Good things happen when you put the puck on net. After this team White woke up, and it was Big Pappa Decook in his office going top cheese from the slot to tie things up. Not long after that Dancin Rance found himself alone and in typical Soney fashion buried to put team Black up by one. Just as it looked like team Black had game 1 in the books, Bam Bam Cam Arnold found himself digging his way from behind the net and slipping one past Rowen which ended up tying the game and leaving game 1 finished with a score of 2-2.

Game 2 seemed to be more of a defensive affair. Neither team giving each other much in terms of offensive opportunities. Finally Dancin Rance Soney received a beauty pass from Landon Curdog Currie that put team Black up 1-0. From there the goaltenders took over. Both Ryder and Rowen made key saves that left this game up for grabs. Time and time again the boys were turned aside with several beauty glove, blocker and pad saves. Finally, in the final minute the Spazmanian Devil Paxton Mather slid one home in the empty net and team Black had the first victory of the day.

Game 3 seemed to be a little more intense and as things progressed the boys really got into it. Continuing with that hot stick of his Big Willy Stylez found the back of the net putting team White on the board. After Colin slick stick Stevenson had taken the puck off of numerous team White players throughout the day he found himself in tight on the goal. Slick stick pulled the puck in close to his body and roofed it short side to tie things up and give team Black some momentum. Team Black found themselves hemming team White in their zone for quite some time and just as it looked liked they were about to clear the zone sweet mitts Landen Hill knocked the puck down at the blueline, settled it and put a beauty shot pass onto Curdog's stick in the slot that found the back of the net and put team Black up 2-1. As time ticked away and it looked like team Black was about to seal the deal and put this one in the books Brighton greasy wheelz Anderson found himself in the neutral zone with the puck and gathering speed. Old greasy wheelz flew into the zone and buried top glove in the dying seconds to tie the game which gave team White new life and momentum going into the fourth and final game of the day.

The boys went into to game 4 knowing the cup was on the line. Slick stick Stevenson scored a highlight beauty after he walked out of the corner and went top coco short side to give team Black a 1-0 lead. After a few minutes Greasy Wheelz found himself alone and made no mistake going top glove bardown tying things up. Heavy celebration from team White thinking momentum was about to change. Little did they know Crazy legs Jake Corneil came over the blueline knowing he was with Slick Stick Stevenson and the two combined for the go ahead goal that left team Black buzzing. A few minutes ticked away and after several of his bombs that had missed the net earlier in the day Sweet Mitts Hill found himself alone on Downtown Brown and went five hole. This seemed to seal the deal and Team Black lived to see another day.

The Final game, game 3 will be played this weekend. Rest assured the boys will most likely have two good practices and a couple workouts leading up to it.
