Toronto Marlies Frienship Tourney
This weekend's events revealed one thing about our 2002 team.... We're getting there, still getting to know one another, but already, major progress has been made!
From a yard sale at centre ice with vanBoxtel (which he got the better end of...) to a forgetful parent for Goodie's skates on starting day, the team was faced with a variety of adversities throughout the weekend. The beauty, however, of these challenges was seeing kids rise to the occasion, regroup in moments of despair and as always behave as the little men and women we've always known they could be! From Thursday to Sunday, the 2002s did us proud! They competed well and last year's crew pulled their new found brothers into the fold... very nice!
From the upcoming Hockey Town Challenge to next spring's playoffs one can only assume, with a group gelling so quickly, this season can only get better!
