3 of 4 Weekend
Blair Derynck's hot hand propelled the Bantam Cyclones to 3 out of a possible 4 points on the weekend.

After coming off a 5 goal weekend Blair Derynck was still flying high scoring 4 more in 2 games to help the Cyclones take 3 of 4 this past weekend.
On Saturday afternoon the boys traveled to Waterloo to take on the Wolves. With Joseph Raaymakers recording the shutout and Derynck's hot hand the Cyclones proved to be too much for the shorthanded Wolves.
While killing a penalty Derynck opened the scoring by stealing the puck from a former Chathamite and breaking in alone recording his first of the day unassisted. Two minutes later he would add his second on the power play from Nick Delyzer and Bradley Maxim. The Cyclones went to the dressing room with 2-0 lead after 2. The Wolves came out strong to start the third but couldn't solve Raaymakers in net. Derynck finished off his natural hat trick at the 9 minute mark with help from Patrick Wright and Kyle Dawson. Ross Krieger would finish off the scoring 30 seconds later from Nick Delyzer and Brady Pataki for a nice 4-0 win.
Sunday the Cyclones traveled to Kitchener for a late afternoon tilt. The Bantams were showing a little fatigue of the road as the Jr Rangers jumped out to a 2-0 lead late in the first period. Early in the second Brendan Harrogate would get the boys back into it with Kyle Dawson and Philip Clarke getting the helpers. Off to the dressing room to figure out how to solves the pesky Jr Rangers. In the third Derynck would come out and score his fourth goal of the weekend with help from Matthew Jakubowski. The Boys put on a late rally to try to get the win but were denied at the buzzer. Nolan Hakr and Joseph Raaymakers shared the goaltending duties.
The team has their work cut out for them this coming weekend with 4 games in 5 nights. Get plenty of rest and proper nutrition to keep inching up the standings boys.
